Round 3 2025 – Supercars Championship
Will Brown has faced a difficult weekend at the Taupo Super 440 this weekend with struggles across qualifying and in the race.
Race 8 – P5
Taking off from 13th on Saturday morning, Brown was able to drive through the field in the first of two SuperSprint races for the day and get a couple of places back to finish in 5th.
Race 9 – P7
Starting 5th in the second race, Brown struggled on the new Dunlop tyres and felt as if they were blistering, and fell backwards down the field to cross the line in 7th as a result

Race 10 – P8
For the final longer race on Sunday, Brown missed the shootout with a mistake in Q1 and he began the race in 12th.
Brown made a mistake heading into the Pit Stop slightly early and had to manage the tyres throughout the race but was able to make his way up into 8th.
Brown has lost his podium streak (14 events) but has managed to retain his Championship lead but the points gap to the rest of the field has closed in slightly.
“I think we captured pretty much the most points we could with what we had. Hopefully we can bounce back in Tassie, you know it wasn’t our weekend but we didn’t lose too many points and we actually gained points in the Championship which was quite amazing. There’s a few people that are doing a fantastic job and others that are coming back a little bit so we need to have a strong weekend in Tassie.”
Round 4 of the Supercars Championship will be held on May 9-11 at the Tasmania Super 440
